Mom's stuff is better than mine!

Like many daughters, I am known to casually "borrow" things off my mom without actually telling her... So one afternoon I was trying to find a birthday card for one of my friends in one of these big silver boxes she has, when I discovered that half the boxes were filled with scarves, gloves, hairclips and other various vintagy items!

I kind of grouped together things that gave off a simmilar-ish vibe, and started photographing...

A lot of these things are completely untracable as to where they came from, but the ones that I do know about I will say :)

Papier mache necklace, which is actually mine, is from ABC carpet in New York

Pink plastic haiclip is mine, from some kind of doll head- y'know, the freaky ones where you put makeup on them and do their hair and they're just a head...

Airplane crystal pin is mine from the Smythsonian air and space museum in Washington

Orange scarf (top left corner, barely in the shot) was a freebie at some kind of opera my mom went to in Venice.

I felt sorry for the rest of the scarves that are still beautiful, but didn't really "fit in" with anything else I was photographing, so there they are ^

Only shot where the stuff is all mine! Gentlewoman magazine, fake pearls from the vintage section at Clothes Show Live in Birmingham, Miss Dior Cherie perfume, and Dior reading glasses.

Bubblegum

Well here's a story for y'all... I tried to upload this bubblegum post a couple days ago but my computer told me it was having trouble connecting to blogger, so I couldn't even save the post, let alone post it. RAGE internet can suck.

So now that I have a little slot of time I am going to schedule a couple posts for the next couple of days, when I will be busy revising for mock exams and writing essays in another language and whatnot.

Theres a secret homage to bob cuts in this post, which was completely unintended, just happens to have happened!

So.. where are these images from? The first is a mulberry ad, the next two are James Hickey photography (as the nice little "James Hickey" wording already tells you) the 4th image is Javier Galue photography and the last is a google images find.

I really don't know what inspired this post, although I generally dislike baby/pastel colours, I've really been feeling them lately... so here you go! Also vibrant colours can give you a headache if you happen to be exposed to them for a long time...

Royal Rich Bitch

This is predominantly an I-WATCH-TOO-MUCH-GOSSIP-GIRL post, but hey hooo....

No theme in particular, other than the aim to throw as much rich/royal/brat/bitchness at you as I can :)

Mermaids

Mermaids movie (1990) starring Cher, Wiona Ryder and Christina Ricci was on TV last night! If you havn't seen it, its about a 15-year-old girl who wants to become a nun, she is the total opposite of her mother, and the one thing they ever agreed on was that her little sister Kate "Is the most wonderful child" It's set in the 60's, so wild eyewear cropped up every now and again, like Cher's sunnies in the pic above. LIKE! Also the pointy-edged glasses:

Few and far between

This is basically me being at my useless-est... No posts in over a month. Now I'm about to give you a somewhat understandable explanation/ reasons why no blogging has been done-

-Photo uploader for blogger is slow on my laptop
-I was away for a week and a half in Washington-Florida-New York
-There being a trillion and sixty five other fashion blogs out there is kind of intimidating
-Super revision/school burn out/ohmygod I'm dying of stress freakout.
-General life.

Good enough reasons? Forgiven? Okay.

I'm going to try and start up my blogging habbit again, but it will take a little while, not that anyone reads my blog anyways!
